No, it’s not because of lack of trust from people. Longer term deposits have lower yealds. And 3 month deposits have the most yeald. It’s probably cuz central bank has cut rates. Consequently banks are predicting more cuts and offering the highest yealds only on short-term deposits. You can just visit any banks site and check rates for each combination of deposit duration and amount. 

When the information comes from non Ukrainian sources, I’ll believe it. But it seems 99% of the information coming from Ukrainian sources are wildly exaggerated, to put it politely.
