    1. You could change the date of this article to any day in the last decade, and it would still be accurate.

No more old people in the White House! Terms need limits! No more political job hugging. Where are our new STRONG OUTSPOKEN DEMOCRATIC LEADERS? I applaud AOC and Gov NEWSOM!

Give me Raskin, Swallwell, my girl AOC…someone who is not afraid and won’t back down.

Edit: my bad, got them mixed…give me Schiff all day long

    4. >An important job of any leader is to keep your troops from wavering or retreating in the face of the enemy—and especially so for Senate Democrats, who are about as far from the 101st Airborne as can be imagined. The fact that Schumer can’t stop his coward caucus from conspiring to give up (or is tacitly working with them to give up) is disqualifying in itself.

Yep. Schumer is the most pathetic democratic leader in the worst possible time in modern history. The lame duck can’t keep his party together for one of the most important fights we’ve ever had. He’s a limp feckless dinosaur who has no place as the head of the democratic Senate.

He doesn’t, he only thinks he does because he’s old and braindead like Trump. Fuck Schumer. Retire you old ass motherfucker.

    6. It’s not so much about age. I like Bernie and he’s old. It’s more Schumer’s mindset that I have an issue with.

    7. Not a Chuck fan but to be fair, what else do you want him to do right now with minority control in the senate besides using the filibuster?

    8. Schumer doesn’t lead the Democratic Party. He’s the floor leader of the Democratic caucus in the Senate, not the leader of the entire party. Stupid headline.

Someone like Kamala that ran on support for small business and new family monetary help.

I live in a red state and I have no idea what they thought was wrong with that. They do both of those like crazy. Think it was just bigotry and conformity.

No more corporatist / liberal elitist. But also should run on more social netting where it fits, like Zohran is doing but more universal such as free school meals.

Schumer is the Democratic leader because the Democratic caucus elected him. They obviously disagree with the headIne

Didn’t realize he was leading the party. I know bureaucratically he’s technically the guy, but he hasn’t done shit so I figured Newsom was running the show. Or AOC. Mamdani has done more for the dems than Schumer has in years.

Schumer actually doing what we want for the first time in modern history and people are trying to dogpile lmao.

This is a convo for after the shutdown conflict resolves. I’m begging other progressives and leftists not to shoot us in the foot collectively and coalition build for literally ten seconds to achieve an actual objective rather than prioritize the virtue signal. We are in the best position we’ve been in since 2024.

Not fit to lead „the party“ but he is always elected to lead Democrats in the US Senate and there is a big difference. Plus he’s Jewish and Mamdani didn’t exactly try to appeal to Jewish voters.

    14. *Looks at the Senate not folding* he’s doing fine right now. It is not the time to pull the knives out.

    15. Bear in mind that even a fair number of establishment Democrats called him out for caving to Republicans in previous votes.

This was from way back in March when all Senate Democrats should have voted no. Most did vote no. But certain „centrists“ and „moderates“ have an almost instinctual urge to cave in.
