I think Benjamin Franklin shouldn’t have signed the Declaration of Independence since it has been an utter failure. If he couldn’t have foreseen the consequences back then, his predictions 1000 years out is irrelevant.

We’re pretty close to, or have already achieved much of what he says. We’re still wolves to one another though. One day we’ll be better.

We are actually doing quite well already.

We have airplanes to transport large amounts of cargo and people quickly around the globe. Artificial fertilizers, better crop varieties, greenhouses and mechanization of agriculture gives us, large amounts of food, while most of the people can work on different things.
Vaccine, antibiotics, imaging and diagnostic methods like X-rays and blood tests, saves millions of lives per day, and prolongs the average lifespan… Not to mention such simple things like wide spread supply of clean water and waste water treatment.

All by the usage of the scientific method, and doing research and creating technologies to help humanity and improving the life of people.
