Crime rates are usually measured per 1000 inhabitants and if the number of people in an area is larger than the number of inhabitants, the crime rate will automatically be higher even if the individual risk is not. This for example means football stadiums, concert locations and airports. And you can easily find the O2, several football stadiums and Heathrow on the map because they are darker red.

i really want to know how they came to this conclusion? this is most obviously untrue post ive seen xD maybe compared to Luton crime rate it makes sense

edit: me when im a white liberal whos never experienced the world ever, theres a reason every British ww2 vet is so fuckin sad looking at their country

    4. It goes to show that the narrative in a lot of the right wing press about London being totally crime infested is a load of rubbish. Most of the city is relatively very safe compared to the rest of the country.

In absolute terms there is a lot of crime, but that’s largely because the population is a large as a small country’s.

    5. London gets a lot more funding than the North so reckon they are going ok.

You put the wrong map up. This is the exact map that shows the highest density of black people.

    7. What’s so bad about North Greenwich and the area around the O2??? Other red and orange areas make sense.

Tube and train stations cause more people to go to specific places, and then crime happens.

Crime doesn’t happen where people live, particularly violent crime.

Does 100%+ mean 100% above the national average, or 100% of (equal to) the national average?
