    1. Reading the details of this conflict is devastating. The scale of destruction and suffering is beyond comprehension, power struggles tearing through cities, militias looting entire regions, and civilians trapped with nowhere safe to go.

      Over 30 million people now need humanitarian aid, and more than 14 million have been displaced from their homes. In Khartoum State alone, an estimated 61 000 people have been killed in just over a year.

      Nearly 770 000 children are expected to face severe malnutrition this year. It’s one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world right now, and the numbers barely capture how much has been lost.

      „can be seen from space“ doesn’t really mean anything when the average person has access to pretty decent satellite imagery in their pocket 

      Doesn’t mean this isn’t an absolute tragedy… but that’s a weird metric to use
