I think another factor not addressed in this study is a voter will feel like they have more control over their circumstances through voting. A non-voter will feel like there isn’t any control over certain aspects of their life which can be distressing and depressing. Interesting study in finland, I would like to see the same study in other countries to see if this health outcome correlation is present in other governments.
