A cursory search says we globally consume about 38 Gbbl per year with a global reserve (in the ground, but extractable) of about 1,073 Gbbl. Guess who’s going to use the term gigabarrel tomorrow?

What’s the year for this map? It looks way out of date.

Just one example. Suriname is estimated to have 2.4 billion barrels as of 2024 according to [Bloomberg News](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-05-16/suriname-s-oil-resources-seen-totaling-2-4-billion-barrels).

      >Suriname’s discovered oil resources now total more than 2.4 billion barrels of crude and liquids, and the nation has more than 12.5 trillion cubic feet of gas, according to Wood Mackenzie.

Yet Suriname doesn’t even show up on this map.

With an average IQ, you’ll understand why the Westrrn media and politics are so obsessed with this region.

1st policy: Just share negative news about the people and people being like let them be killed. I don’t give af. And then bring the military to exploit all their resources.

2nd Policy Increase the dispute among the local with ethinic and religious conflicts and then sell them weapons in exchange of cheap oil
