It isn’t really from both sides, it’s some extremist idiot. Majority of bosniaks are barely even practicing religious, that guy is not even conservative, he’s some wahhabi maniac. For sure part of the controversy will also (ofc equally stupidly) be the national symbolism, of a sajkaca serbian flag guy and a sandzak muslim.

How could the rulers divide and conquer those who don’t accept being divided?

The majority of the criticism from the opposition comes because he was touching her head, which is apparently not allowed in Islam, not because they hate Muslims. But yes, the pro Vucic nationalists do disapprove because of Islamophobia.

I’m not a politician and I disapprove it too especially because the guy in question (Sava Nikolic) is himself a disguised nationalist. There is literally a picture of him doing the three finger salute which is a fascist greeting that was used to taunt non-Serbs while they were being butchered and ethnically cleansed by Serb separatist rebels in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo. Also, the reason why there is not that much hatred between different religious groups in Serbia is because the Orthodox Christians consider non-Orthodox Christians to be Serbs too (and they themselves often consider themselves to be Serbs to begin with).

Citizens of Serbia will stand together as one for freedom. Vučić and similar hate mongers have no power here.

My sister had a classmate which parents where Bosniak and Serbian. Who because of that never visit thei hometowns. In their words they would be killed for it. Which seems exagerated now, but wasn’t when they left the country

Wtf? How could they disapprove that? Showing compassion.
But on the other hand, everything that Christians do is scrutinized and shown as bad.

Our older generation said „never trust a Serbian they always smile but, when you return your back they will stab you on the back“. And i never forget that because it happened un very bad way in my country and my people.

They fear unity the most, that’s why they’ll try to use anything to divide the people, and the go-to strategy is always race or religion.
