The PQ are really taking their rise in the polls to heart. It’s very interesting to watch when support for separating is not really there
I’m very tired of the PQ constantly beating the drum for irrelevant things. There are massive and obvious problems with the Quebec public service that is 100% within the governing party’s purview to fix.
The PQ is ahead simply because they’re not the CAQ and they’re not the „anglo party.“ It’s infuriating.
Honnêtement, je trouve que c’est une bonne idée, peu importe où on se situe sur l’axe souverainiste. Avoir plus de délégations, ça veut dire plus d’occasions pour nos entreprises, nos artistes et nos institutions d’avoir un pied dans la porte à l’international.
En plus, si le PQ veut vraiment organiser un référendum dans un premier mandat, c’est logique de commencer à bâtir une diplomatie parallèle dès maintenant. Mieux vaut être prêts que de se retrouver à improviser si jamais l’indépendance devenait réalité.
Cela dit, j’espère juste que ça ne sera pas des postes symboliques ou coûteux pour peu de retombées. Il faut que ce soit bien ciblé, avec une vraie stratégie économique derrière.

Is doubling this kind of shadow diplomatic personnel that important when there are more pressing issues that a provincial government could more massively score points on, such as health care and housing? It just seems to me to be such a niche issue that’s a tad tone deaf in the broad scheme of things.
Jesus fuck Quebec, please get back to your Quiet Revolution social democratic roots (no FLQ stuff) and make all the ROC neoliberals embarrassed and unpopular by comparison.
