Also, it is questionable to sell attack submarines to a country who threathen our allies over the Faklands. Mentioning UK and submarines in the same sentence is touchy since the AUKUS backstabbing, but is not a reason to sell this kind of weapons to hostile countries.

After the failed experience with the Exocet missiles during the Malvinas‘ War, one would think the Argentinians learnt the lesson of buying French.

I’m fairly blase about the risks from Argentina. Scorpenes are dangerous boats, but ultimately a few of them doesn’t change the balance of power enough to enable Argentina to actually hold the Falklands at risk in any meaningful way. Remember that the place is actually garrisoned these days; until it looks like Argentina is rebuilding a force that’s capable of taking the islands in the face of the forces there – there’s not really any reason to insist that they be limited to sticks and stones.
