      Or what? What stops Trump from just ignoring this ruling like he did the last? The courts need teeth if anything’s going to change.

      This dude is such a moron. He could have gone up two weeks ago and announced he was paying snap in full despite the shutdown and dared anyone to stop him.

      Instead he looks like he has to be dragged away from starving people while shouting on his feed that Republicans alone can stop the shutdown.

      He has single handedly destroyed whatever strategy the Republicans tried to have with this shutdown and made them look like grade A assholes.

      And where is this money supposed to come from? How can a judge order anything beyond the contingency which has been released? I didn’t realize judges controlled appropriations now.

      The judge could not have summed up the situation any better.

      „Without SNAP funding for the month of November, 16 million children are immediately at risk of going hungry,“ said Judge McConnell. „Children are immediately at risk of going hungry. This should never happen in America.“

      paid in full as they should have from day one using hunger as a political tool is immoral; shame on anyone who would try and defund snap. how can republicans claim to be „america first“ all the while men, women and children go hungry? punishing people who are just trying to live their lives all so they can „one up the dems“ its disgusting.

      What are the legal consequences when an administration just outright ignores a judges ruling? Multiple times? Even after an appeal is struck down, etc? We need to be able to enforce judges rulings against the executive class in this country, badly

      Our judges have no power against Trump and/or they are corrupt anyway. Our democracy is dead, it just doesn’t know it yet.
