The HH Humphrey Building (US Dept of Health and Human Services) was the first federal building named after a living person (1977). There are no such buildings named after Nixon. There’s a tunnel named after Wallace in Mobile, AL; in 2021 the University of Alabama renamed a building that was formerly named after its governor due to his support racial segregation.

America’s electoral map will be all blue for a generation now. trump and the gop cucks have destroyed the repubikkkan party in this country.

    4. Wild that the Dems nearly matched Nixon’s vote total despite getting wiped out electorally.

And for all of the dumbasses who use creeps like Wallace to say „look how racist Democrats are!“, do you think all of those state flipped their political views?

kind of crazy to think that west virginia had more votes than colorado or arizona at that time, phoenix and denver each alone have more than 2x the population of the entire state now lol

„In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, **segregation forever**.“

As of 2024, George Wallace is the last third-party candidate to win a US state.
