It’s crazy they could’ve spent this money on like….food for the poor….

    2. Billionaires are untouchable except for the election process. Election integrity needs to be shored up and preserved. Current state and trend has us continuing to slide into a kleptocracy (interwoven with theocracy).

Elon Muscovich is about to lose what little mind he has left 🙂

Things they could’ve spent that money on instead: taxes, better salaries for their employees, philanthropy.

Evidence that billionaires aren’t as money savvy as they are portrayed. Spending dollars to save dimes.

What they spent is chump change to them. Cuomo is a disposable pet for them

The fact they spent that much and are still so wealthy is insane. I think about one post I saw about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce; “If you subtract Travis’s $60 million net worth from Taylor’s $1.6 billion net worth, Taylor swift would have $1.6 billion,”

    8. A tiny fraction of this completely wasted money could have changed my life. Paid off my student loans, replaced my busted ass car, zeroed out my credit cards. Literally life changing. But no. We waste it on this shit instead.

    9. „During his campaign, Mamdani often remarked on the huge amounts of money being spent to defeat him.

‚They’re spending more money than I would even tax them…'“

    10. But we can’t take that money they wasted via taxes and fund healthcare, food, schools etc?

Hmm the math isn’t adding up and people are waking up…

    12. The list…

      Michael Bloomberg ($13.3 million)

      Lauder Family ($2.6 million)

      Joe Gebbia ($2 million)

      Bill Ackman ($1.75 million)

      Barry Diller ($500,000)

      Laurie Tisch ($150,000)

      Steve Wynn ($500,000)

      Alice Walton ($200,000)

I absolutely love that they wasted so much of their money. All to support Cuomo, of all people. It’s delightful.

This is why I will never accept that taxing the wealthy is as fucking hard as people pretend it is. Everybody says ‘oh they have no cash it’s all assets! And they can’t sell because it would crash the market!!’ Well how fucking convenient for the billionaires.

Yet they can whip literal millions out of their arsehole whenever they want to donate to a politician. They can whip *billions* out of thin air when they want to buy a newspaper or media company, or a social media website, or build a vanity rocket to space.

Mamdani said himself they’ve spent more trying to stop him than they would spend in taxes he wants to raise. It’s insane behaviour. It’s purely about power and control, keeping us peasants in our place and defying anybody to try and oppose them.

Fuck off telling me we can’t tax them. You must be truly fucking thick as pig shit to believe that when all evidence to the contrary is right in your face.

    15. More than anything, I hope that this shall lead to the devastation of the infamous TrickleDown-system that has STOLEN money from hard-working Americans for more than 40 years. To accept that has been a big mistake.

Think of the lives that could have been improved with that money instead of it just being thrown away

    17. I don’t give a *Flying fiddler’s fuck* if Kurt Russell needs to come out of retirement to fuck NYC landlord billionaires in the ass with an aluminum baseball bat. I’d pay good money to watch the film. Especially the part where The City of New York eminent domain’s Trump Tower and turns it into a public park with clean restrooms.

Billionaires should have as much say as every other citizen. 1 vote.

Has anyone done the math on how much they spent trying to keep him from being elected be how much his policies would raise their taxes? I know Mamdani made a quip about it, but are there actual numbers?

The masses see wealth as something that’s used to oppressive them, now. And they are right.

A literal rounding error in their balance sheets. None of them will feel it, miss it, or think about it. It’s practically car cup holder loose change money for them.
