New Jersey hasn’t supported a republican for president since 1988… This result isn’t exactly breaking news.

I’d rather vote for a dead amoeba than yet another nitwit Republican, so I can tell why she won.

    3. Coming from outside the US, who the hell came up with the word gubernatorial. I love it, but I don’t think I’ll ever get to use it in the UK.

    4. The results across the board tonight have been shocking. Every single county in Virginia shifted blue from the last governor election. Every. Single. One. Dems will now hold super majority in house of representatives in VA. So people can say “oh well these are blue states anyways” or “it’s an off cycle” blah blah blah. The overwhelming majority of voters yesterday showed that Trumps administration is WHOLLY unpopular with most Americans. The Dems also learned something very important. PUT PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL PROGRESSIVE IDEAS AND VALUES ON THE TICKET. Enough of this lukewarm centrist bullshit. Trying to find a middle ground while the right continues to move farther and farther will always lose. Not focusing on less important social issues and instead putting the entirety of it onto the Economy, healthcare, and housing with genuine left wing policies will win elections.

I always knew this talk nonstop about how she was a terrible candidate, how nj was actually a red state etc was just projecting bs. Basing it solely off 2024 and prior elections when we’re living in unprecedented times made no sense to me. People may have been fooled once but they’re not getting fooled again.
