So much of that war was just trading some rounds at ungodly distances with guys hiding behind dirt walls or a ridge line. Not that closer combat never happened, far from. But just the day to day. We had one guy every night fire one round at the FOB. Never found him, he never hit anything important either. Apaches and A-10’s did most of the work I’d wager.
