      Fuck those people.

Because of this endless polarization and hatred between genders they forgot. Basic human decency. And you know what? This is happening way too common, regardless of the gender of the victim.

No person I met in my life would ever utter those words. These people are few, but they are loud and immature and terminally online.

The best thing we can do is to not engage with them, and help the victim.

Such people also must be punished by law. Victim-blaming and misogyny should not be overlooked.

Downright repulsive. Also, why is Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia catching strays?

On YouTube? Wtf. I thought these comments are from 4chan or something.

    5. There are devils in the world who vent discrimination and anger for absolutely no reason, especially against the weak.

There are such people in Korea, and one of them is ‚Ilbe‘, which is seen here.

They have no such thing as a philosophy. They simply feel pleasure in tormenting the weak…

They don’t even deserve sympathy, but I apologize on their behalf.

    6. keyboard warrior/incels..probably squeal like a little pig if they were ever exposed

They are just reflecting who they are inside. If they didn’t have a miserable life, they would never utter these words.

I hope korea takes this toxicity seriously before it infects s korean society.

    9. That sounds exactly like how Japanese talk under comfort women videos. Truly the only problem Korean men have with comfort women is that it was foreign men who did it and it hurt the national pride, not the innocent women

Can someone please explain why misogyny is so extreme in Korea? Does it have something to do with social media?

I remember having a conversation with a friend about misogyny in Korea. They were asking about confucianism and patriarchy, etc.

I was explaining that whilst yes, that is an issue, a crazier thing is like how much further the overton window is here compared to UK/US, etc.

It’s not that there are necessarily more misogynists, but the „average“ misogynist is so much more intense in Korea.

Youtube comments have been complete garbage for awhile now, they filter less than twitter these days

    13. A lot of Korean men in their 20s and 30s these days seem to carry a lot of anger towards women,
and many of them end up taking the side of the perpetrators, which feels really disturbing.”

What’s most alarming about these troll messages is that much of their insults are based on concepts deeply rooted in society, albeit usually left unspoken, regarding women’s sexuality, anatomy, and victims of sex crimes.
