CBD surely makes psychoactive effects of THC lesser. However it might be different with people who have schizophrenia as shown in this study. But even if it does not protect those who have schizophrenia, it doesent really say about CBD protecting against psychotic symptoms for those who are not schizophrenic.

This study being only about schizophrenics, i dont think you can talk about this in general based on the study.

I never heard anyone claiming that weed would be safe for schizophrenics when adding extra CBD, and schizophrenics should not smoke weed at all.
