      I’d like to see this map with death per km, wonder if it would be really different.

      Why not make the intervals equal to make the visualisation representative of the data. Smells of deliberate data misrepresentation.

      I don’t say that if this is good or bad, but it looks that there is no connection with the speed limits for motorways. Or I am wrong?

      Very low death rate in Germany, I wonder how low the speed limits are in the highways

      Speaking for Croatia, we have decent road infrastructure , but we also have plenty of idiots on the roads and nothing helps with that.

      Austria is probably lowest in Europe compared to cars driving through. 9 million people, but traffic like 90m.

      For 2023: ≈ 25 deaths per million population in Great Britain.

      For 2024: ≈ 24 deaths per million population in Great Britain.

      Latvia being high doesnt suprise me, I’m from Sweden and I travelled there for work a few times and everytime I went there I thought the cars overtaking would crash because they took the smallest gaps in traffic, 1 second off and I would have witnessed several people die, it was insane to watch people risk their lives to save a few seconds

      I recall being laughed at for putting on my seat belt in the back of an Uber by the driver and my ex girlfriend in Bulgaria. They both claimed it wasn’t necessary in the back. The driver told me he was offended. They seriously need to some public education programmes there about road safety!

      A lot of people are driving like assholes in Croatia, especially in cities. I use a car only when going on a day trip outside Zagreb.

      Ah Romania. They either drive 30 miles under the speed limit or 30 miles over the speed limit! Nothing in between!

      Great country to visit though, highly recommend

      have been a long time since I had drove in Portugal but:

      -Portuguese overtake in two ways roads when there are traffic in front, hoping the other driver dodge them.

      -They only have two speed, turtle slow and Verstappen fast…

      That’s seems low. Is that still covid numbers? You can add 10 to 20% to that.

      I would be more interested in road deaths per X km travelled on road or something like that.
