News snippet: A Michigan defense lawyer is disputing FBI allegations that his 20-year-old client and four other young suspects were planning to carry out a terror attack on Halloween weekend.
Authorities with the FBI and in Michigan have offered few details about the case, however as he announced the arrests on Friday, FBI Director Kash Patel said more information would be released. Spokespersons for the state and national FBI and the U.S. Attorney in Detroit did not immediately respond to messages Saturday.
The investigation involved discussion in an online chat room involving at least some of the suspects who were taken into custody, according to two people briefed on the investigation who could not publicly discuss details. They spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The group allegedly discussed carrying out an attack around Halloween, referring to “pumpkin day,” according to one of the people. The other person briefed on the investigation confirmed that there had been a “pumpkin” reference.

It’s certainly possible people in a chat group talked about Halloween and about scaring people at that time. What is the evidence it was an actual terrorist plot? What were they planning to do?

For the time being, count convictions but that ground feels shakier and shakier.

It used to be that if the FBI raided a house, it was because they had a solid case. That started slipping after 9/11 when the FBI started getting into the business of trapping idiots instead of investigating crimes. While the Tsarnaev brothers were working on an actual plot to attack Boston (one that Russia alerted the US to and the feds dismissed), the FBI was busy helping and idiot build a bomb with plans provided by the feds, materials provided by the feds and targets scouted with the assistance of the feds.
Now, under Trump, I don’t believe a single thing that comes out from them. Eventually we will have a „boy who cried wolf“ scenario where the feds actually did stop an actual threat, but nobody will believe it. If Kash’s lips are moving, I assume it is lie until actual proof is presented. This is what undermining trust in the government looks like.

The all-male group of U.S. citizens ranges in age from 16-20, Makled said.
The FBI seized the following items from the terrorists: rolls of toilet paper, bars of soap, blocks of wax, several paper bags containing dog excrement, and a box of Sea-Dog safety matches. FBI Director Kash Patel estimates that the actions of the FBI saved the lives of thousands of American citizens. Patel stated: „They had way more bars of soap than you would need for washing your hands.“

Any lawyer would start with this statement as the case is developing so they dont offer anything up that isnt asked for, so they can hold their cards closely until its time to give up the bluff and fold lol. You go for the maximum opposite of the offense and then work your way to an agreement of what the charges will be with admission of guilt in the middle later on. Every court case in the history of mankind proceeds in this manner. They are also trying to be quiet and deliberate to reduce Islamic hate as well within the communities they were apprehended to attempt to avoid opposing factions from committing retaliatory offenses. I live near where this happened and 90% of the Islamic community are good God fearing Americans and the other 10% are likely jihadist factions that hate Americans. Our govt traded US occupation and tax incentives to Iranians and Iraqi’s for oil discounts and oil properties and oil rights. Most of them are respectable business owners within their communities. The younger generations are more radicalized than their parents and that is an emerging concern because of the influence of social media on young minds. This doesnt seem like a systemic problem more of an isolated event. It will be interesting to see how this develops. A significant amount of the Muslims in Dearborn and the surrpunding areas are Iraqi Catholics that were persecuted for their beliefs while western countries occupied their countries. When our military entered their countries the jihadists started massacring their own citizens with Christian beliefs and our govt allowed the refuge. How that is dealt with moving forward is not a simple process as some sort of mass deportation would be horrific for the communities they occupy because they are deeply engrained in those communities economies. This event isnt a surprise to those that understand what has occurred in the Dearborn area.

This kinda makes me feel that everything Candace Owens is saying about Charlie Kirk’s murder is true. Attacking innocent muslims for „terrorism“ in the biggest muslim city in america is a narrative that would support their causes.
It almost seems like the FBI is harassing people they dont have concrete evidence on and coincidentally , the people they „caught“ are trans or muslim or brown.
