      When Germany changed its stance the Danes knew it was hopeless to push the original plan. It’ll be back though, this is the third decade this fight has been taking place in, and it’ll be a cold day in hell when these fuckers give up.

      And just a reminder because this kind of got lost in all the hysteria around this: If you use googlemail or facebook messenger, all your mails/messages there are already being scanned.

      And not in a conspiracy kind of Google/Meta knows all about you way, it’s literally the same thing that Chat Control tried to introduce as mandatory.

      Don’t worry, they already rebranded it into ProtectEU and EU going dark programme. It’s gonna pass in December.

      Yeah as a Dane, I’m sorry for this. There were so many important things this government could push for, like increase in EU military coop, drone manufacturing etc.

      Instead they chose to focus on destroying internet privacy. It’s like our current government holds ideation contests among their civil servants on how to maximise unpopularity. They started out a few years ago by removing a national holiday.

      „Screening for images of child abuse would be voluntary rather than mandatory, Euractiv reported on Thursday evening.“

      Why would any app take time and effort, and thus money, to implement this when it’s voluntary?

      I mean, I know it’s probably meant to create a slippery slope, but for the sake of this argument let us assume that it’s not.

      And can we PLEASE expose this „shadow group“ pushing for this?!
