Canadians hate going back to the polls early. The Question, if this budget fails, is who they blame for the early election call.
We generally want our elected officials to sort it out and govern.
At least we don’t have a shutdown if our government can’t pass a budget.
If we go to the ballot on Christmas I hope voters punish the Conservatives. You can pass a budget for 12 months and say that you disagree but don’t want another election so soon.
I think this is a mistake to force an election now. Wait a year, and then the conservatives will win. Carney would like one right now.
And here I was thinking the guy who lost, the guy who lost in his own riding, would’ve taken a shot of shutup vodka, chased with humble tequila, to the extent that no one would need to talk about elections for years.
I just don’t care anymore. We need a completely new government. This Liberal concoction of sub par ministers are RUINING this country.
Political commenters were skeptical Carney’s budget was a slam dunk because it lacked clarity – and this was a key strike against him in the last election.
However there are also practical concerns with the budget that shouldn’t sit well with Canadians. These concerns should start to ring larger alarms about whether the country can manage the economic outlook.
The Government is slashing services while running an again historic defecit and also seperating between the operating fiscal framework and capital investment. I’m not sure how watertight that is.
Fuck austerity, fuck thie budget, and fuck Carney.

With Polievre as the leader of conservatives I would never even consider voting for them. Our MP for them doesn’t seem great either. The choices are basically not great and absolutely horrible.

Any moron who thinks Carney deserves a vote of no confidence at this point in his term is a partisan piece of shit who should be voted out on their ass. Give him a chance to actually do something before you try to kick him out, that’s just dumb and will hurt the whole country and your party’s ability to get elected next election. Canadians don’t want to deal with that kind of partisan bullshit.
Please do not fucking hand the federal government over to the party that had the most spectacular fall from grace in 4 months time.
