Hold the line, Democrats. And I’ll finally have some respect for you.

    2. Because trump’s „art of the deal“ consists of:

Bully those he perceives as weaker to get what he wants.

Suck up to those he perceives as stronger to get what he wants.

So when the former don’t cave, his brain does not know what to do, other than try and bully more.

Trump is just baffled in general. Amazing that the media is not on his rambling, confusion, constant mistakes, changing policy, talking utter bullshit, but they’ll pay eventually. Trump is shooting for state controlled media and falling out of windows for reporters and dissidents will become increasingly known if the orange makeup slathered moron isn’t reigned in.

    4. As the alt-right showed, just sitting on your hands endlessly can be a very effective political tactic. Frankly if anyone had heard the democratic messaging of the last few weeks no one would be surprised, and yet we’re only hearing Trump’s reaction. Wonder why.

    5. Ultimately, Trump doesn’t care. He insists on doing things his way, rejecting any alternatives. He doesn’t care about the voters who supported him but now lack access to SNAP benefits or are facing rising prices under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Hell, Trump had a party at Mar-a-Lago. He doesn’t care.

It’s amazing, if you stand up to him, he has no plan. Wish people learned this a decade ago

As a lifelong Democratic voter, I’m kind of baffled that they’re not caving too.

They’ve been really good at doing that lately. 🙂

Got to give credit to the Democrats, even with Chuck and Hakeem’s leadership they are standing firm on this issue and I’m happy to see them not bend the knee.

GOP will have to cave sooner rather than later, and if they do get rid of the filibuster, they know it’s game over for them moving forward.

Their plan was to cause pain, looking to hopefully insight insurrectionist act.. but how much more pain can you cause before the people are fully against you?

You can’t make a deal without offering something. Trump’s mindset that he is the CEO of America is precisely what makes him a pathetically flaccid and ineffective president.

    10. ‘Sir, sir, we don’t understand. We never saw anything like this before. How can you be clowning all over the world and all at the same times, still fucking absolutely everything up at home?’

Trump: „i already illegally held back food from poor people. Who else do I have to kill?“

    12. I’ve sent troops into their cities and ICE to harass communities and kidnap neighbors, and I want to take their health care but they said no so I took their federal jobs and checks and I am taking their food. Why won’t they work with me?!?

    13. I can’t wait for his dementia ridden mind to start talking about epstein island in his rambling. Much like that very difficult i q test he took.

    14. By far the most evil, vindictive, grifting president this country has ever had. Oh, don’t forget to add pedophilia and underage sex trafficking to the roster. America deserves better.

    15. To be honest, I’m at least pleasantly surprised the Democrats have found something resembling a spine.

As a dem we are also surprised, our representatives are usually much more spineless than this. I just kind of accepted that I’ma go back to being uninsured next year, but they’re surprising us.

Is he actually baffled that Dems aren’t caving, or just baffled about where he currently is? Because if that summit picture with Xi and the two delegations is anything to go on, Trump has no idea what’s going on around him at any given moment.

    18. The reality is democrats have nothing to lose. There’s not much left for them to fight back against. I hope they’ve recognized working with any republican is a losing strategy for everyone. So long as Trump is the person you’re working with there won’t be any honored deals.

    19. GOP: If you don’t agree to our demands, we will make people suffer

Dems: If we agree to your demands, you’ll also make people suffer

      GOP: … Yes we will!

Im baffled why he isnt in prison for assaulting and raping women and teen girls. Instead this country elected him to be President again.

I feel like we will finally see some movement on all of this stupidity after the Tuseday state elections. Many of the National Republicans want to see how those turnout before they can feel safe in potentially turning on Trump and his cult.

    22. I just my NEW estimate monthly estimate for basic health insurance from $62 to $850!!!

Im still fairly young and in good enough health. If this happened to me, we will be seeing stories like mine in dominance very soon. Now I have no choice but to wait and hope that the GOP caves

    23. MarginalTalent on

He views himself as “strong”, but buckles all of the time (TACO). So it surprises him when others show resolve (he has none) and don’t fold as he would.

    24. Careful_Trifle on

They can do whatever they want, but they need Dems as cover for the unpopularity of these policies.

If Dems cave, we lose all benefits. If Dems don’t cave, we will probably still lose all benefits but Republicans will have to rule by fiat and voters will know who did it.

Democrats lose nothing by holding out here.
