I have unearthed actual treasures from „zu verschenken“ boxes. But for every reasonably filled box there are five that are just filled with utter trash. Half-emptied glasses of pickles, dirty table clothes. Heck, yesterday I came across a „zu verschenken“ box with condoms (in the wrapper, but without the box), some hair bands and a couple of rubber thingies for headphones in it.

looks like this is the rest of something that someone dumped on the roadside, this looks like a 1€ shop decoration, something to put into a vase with LED lights to drape over. so maybe it was this and one took the vase and another took the LEDs.
