When Trump saw the list of „Venezuela natural resources,“ he said: „I want that!“ and set about getting it. In addition to massive amounts of oil (one of his favorites) there are also other minerals (gold among them!) in Venezuela.
So it’s not about the drugs – which is laughable, really. It’s about the natural resources.
On the world stage, you can’t just say, „I want what Venezuela has so I’m going to take it.“ So you have to say, „We are going to interdict all drug manufacture and trafficking to save lives.“ Same old bullshit, really.
