What an absolute embarrassment if true – there was nothing to apologize for, and Carney just makes himself look incapable of being on the same level as Trump if he keeps degrading himself like this. I suspect it isn’t actually true and Trump is trying to embarrass Carney though.
Historical precedent would indicate that it’s unwise to take what this sentient bovine rectum says at face value.
It’s possible this is true but more likely I suspect he’s going to TACO now that there are Republicans moving against him, and he’s just creating cover for himself so that he can save face when he restarts trade negotiations. It’s not like Trump blatantly lying to the press is something new and unprecedented.
We’ve seen this sort of thing before with him many times. He’s not as strong as he thinks he is, and when the cowardly Republicans finally start to push back he tends to back down.
Waiting for Carney Stans to continue to say this is 5D chess.
He’s just embarassing himself now. And us by proxy. Don’t apologize to a child when they’re throwing a temper tantrum.
With all this election talk around the budget I think the Liberals are massively overconfident in their position. Especially with acts like this.

Don’t care. Nothing that comes out of Trump’s mouth is trustworthy. He’s a scumbag trying to play popularity games and the world is growing tired of it.
He said this to take down the extra 10% tariff on the trail of the senate vote against tariffs. It’s so he can say this is a win for him, rather than being called TACO again.
It’s becoming more clear that free elections and democracy itself may be over in the US. Influencing US voters won’t have any impact on future elections there because there either won’t be any or they’ll be predetermined. Antagonizing their psychopathic government is not the right move.
Hey, if you say so dude! Whatever his handler has to say to get him to stop whining and get back to a trade deal.
For the record, I almost certainly doubt carney actually apologized for it. Nothing to even apologize for.
