I love polling on taxes, its all so nakedly selfish which is almost refreshing. Yes something should be done as long as I don’t have to pay or suffer for it.
Anyway the deficit headline isn’t going to be favourable with these numbers. I still predict the splitting of the budget into two parts will quietly stop being talked about. Nobody will care and you’ll only earn derision for elaborate accounting.
You cant say sacrifice and then go and pay billions of $$$$ to profitable companies.
You also cant say sacrifice and have billions go out to social causes in far away lands.
If there’s gonna be sacrifice then everyone should be on an equal footing.
