      This is gonna sound really stupid and far fetch but I thought about it the other day

      After the War crimes committed in the Middle East during the Iraq war, the US government and Israel created isis as a pysop, to undermine the reality of the war crimes and downplay them, after the destruction of these war torn countries,Isis is sent in to control the state, kill anyone who opposes, and start to kill Muslims in villages rather then bigger numbers at once (ISIS kills more Muslims then they kill Christian’s or Jews)

      And then the news portrays Isis as “Islamic” and how all muslims are “barbarians, psychopaths, rapist, terrorists” so when a Muslim dies due to a war crimes, its undermine and downplayed, and if any more war crimes from the Iraq war comes out it’s like “oh it’s in the past, oh they were secret terrorists” and everyone believe it because the stereotype has been so normalized

      I’ve always figured this was likely a scenario. Except instead of covering their war crimes it was to destroy and destabilize perceived enemies of the US.

      Or, hear me out, ISIS was formed naturally as a splinter of other terror groups in response to the war crimes committed in the Middle East.
