First thing is to round up all those people pardoned for J6 and put them back in jail. (except the ones who are already back in jail. Criminals gonna criminal…)

We need to vote in the primaries and get rid of the complicit neoliberals and corportist dems if we want democrats to give a shit. So long as we reward the do-nothings and collaborators with our votes, what reason would they possibly have to change?

They let nixon off the hook for watergate,

      Reagan for Iran contra

      Bush for torture

      And Trump for insurrection

We can not afford a centrist on Justice again.

Democrats need to campaign and run on Project 2028.

I know it sounds lame but if the republicans got away with the P25 plans even with the leaks, there is no reason not to pursue this. Simple objectives like adding term limits to Supreme Court judges, expanding the Supreme Court, removing the electoral college, and most importantly of all, make sure to actually make use of the DOJ and actively pursue corruption (Democrats and republicans alike). There’s more but just to list a few

Good luck getting people who make lots of money to stop doing the stuff that makes them lots of money.

The two core issues are narcissism & ideology.

When your party is seen as whiney complainers that ignore problems or manage them poorly, the party of narcissists will succeed through being more blunt and upfront even if it means degrading the constitution.

A party of democrats that actually slam their fist down on core issues with loud, angry personalities while seeking middle ground with reps on economy, immigration & social issues while still enacting the right for everyone to exist is better fit for the progression of a free-nation.

(And not this illegal abduction or trans focused type bias shit)

Not a Christian nationalist snowflake ridden Nazi party & not a whining, strangely organized party while drugs are decriminalized and crime continues.

A properly organized party or entirely new government rebalance would be the proper way to break the 250 Year cycle of push & pull politics headed by man-children or absolute pussies that only shout ‚big man bad‘.

America should be the people’s no matter left or right and selective core matters should be handled by each party collectively like it was meant to be, I’m disappointed to live among people that think any of this will stick forever.

the left are too timid and the right are too violent, embarrassing when millions of lives depend on you, if we could i would want to strip them of all money & status and force them to live in the lowest-class to get a perspective of how most people live, better yet Nepal has the right idea and I’m tired of pretending to be okay with our system of broken healthcare, politics & capitalism.

Well, no shit. Folks have been warning Dems about fascism for a long time now, but they keep enabling it. Weird.

Edit: downvoters don’t fucking get it. Still. Enjoy the fascism, you’re part of the problem.

      Why is it on us?

      At best 33.3%.

You want this 33.3% to fight the other 33.3%, while the final 33.3% sits on its ass and tells us to fight?

How about this. Help! Ffs! Don’t expect others to win your fights, the democrats are fighting, everybody else has a huge case of stupid.

Wow an article from mainstream news that isn’t smoothing things over and sanewashing?

      Someone’s getting fired.

Yeah I like talking about what I’d do if I won the lottery too.

We aren’t even one year into Trump’s second term. How about we win one national election first? I really don’t think „We’re going to punish Trump supporters“ is going to help win the next election when Trump won the popular vote in the last one.

The top layers of military officer leadership that blindly followed illegal orders and violated their oath to the constitution by ordering marines and national guard to occupy American cities should all be dishonorably discharged.

I guarantee if the Dems get back in power, they’ll keep the majority of ICE funding increase.

Democrats have completely made me jump ship on liberalism. I realize now how much liberalism is politically just trying to maintain the status quo while also trying to enrich yourself. I have watched the entire old liberal guard, the Democratic Party, drag their feet toward any meaningful change when Americans were clamoring for it most—while also letting themselves get big dicked by a bunch of conmen. This party needs to fail to reinvent itself. The same way the media was saying republicans and right-wing ideology had failed in the 2000’s until they reinvented themselves with racist, misogynistic, fascist, offensive, demagogue bullshit. Of course I’m not saying Dems should have done those exact things, but they should have been genuinely trying to do something meaningful to reward and encourage the American people instead of celebrating themselves and their power with celebrities, book tours, vanity campaigns, and insider trading. I have a feeling we’re nowhere near the worst of this. Liberals are effectively leaderless and rn the internet’s best answer is hyping up AOC/Walz and inflatable costumes. I have zero answers and too much hindsight but I think what they’re doing now stinks and isn’t worth supporting.

    14. but they *like* the era of no consequences, they can sit back, put forward lukewarm candidates that are crapshoots against republicans, and they can keep telling people to „vote blue no matter who“ because they know no one will make a better party that *actually* represents the people.

Somebody needs to hold Trump and everyone supporting him; all of the GOP, their donors, the people bribing him, and the media that kept telling us everything he did was normal. Every major news outlet gave him softball questions and didn’t press him on anything since he ran the first time. They wanted more sales, or views. If news is the first pass at history they all, collectively did a terrible job and bear some of the responsibility.

Failing to hold Republicans accountable is why we are in this mess and I’m not even talking about Trump being president. EVERY SINGLE BILL that’s been negotiated by Republicans in the legislature over the past 8+ years that has needed some kind of bi partisan support has gone something like this.

Democrats and Republicans negotiate over weeks. A deal is struck behind closed doors, handshakes all around. Republicans immediately go to the media and start crying about how shit the deal is. All Republican support dies and the bill fails. Republicans then demand more than what they previously got in negotiations. 90% of the time Democrats cave and give Republicans more than in the original deal. Repeat.

If Democrats give up now, not only was all this pain over the past month be for nothing, but Democrats will have officially handed over their last and only bargaining chip. They will simply be ignored moving forward. As much as it sucks to say, wed be better off with the government shutting down for 6 months with military members and everyone else going without pay, with no snap, with no nothing. Republicans get to witness the glory of the US government without any social safety nets, and the people get the fucking punch in the face they need to say „hey, maybe letting our government collapse, leaving us all to fend for ourselves wasn’t such a good idea.“

    17. This is what I’ve been saying all along. Haul Noam, Miller, Johnson, Pondi and Leavitt need to be hauled in front of a court and tried for their crimes.

Nature may be blessedly close to punishing the ringleader of this regime, but we need to ensure those who enabled this madness are brought to task for their treasonous actions.

    18. TameThrumbo on

No one wants to say what needs to be done, because we’re all scared to.

    19. This is exactly what Dems failed to do in 2008. They could have nailed multiple Bush officials on war crimes — Cheney fully expected they would go after him. They also failed to investigate and hold responsible the companies that cause the economy to crash. All of those companies that were bailed out should have been nationalized until every dollar was paid back.

I’ll personally vote for the candidate who pledges to throw Trump and all of his cronies in jail.

    20. If someone is going to run for president and offer a free sledgehammer to everyone to help tear down Epstein’s ballroom, they would easily win 400 electoral college votes.

    21. There is no such thing as „no consequences“.

If you don’t enforce consequences, they will be enforced upon you instead. Any action which is not meaningfully punished is effectively permitted.

It’s the paradox of tolerance in full effect.

    22. People dragged their feet on Trump, thinking he would just go away like Nixon.
