    1. Thats not how 21st century war works, buying them wont fix nothing, the only way is building a mass production inside the country because Russia doesnt buy drones, they build them and then sent most of them to Ukraine without stopping and causing ukranian army to wast missles on small and cheap kamikaze drones.

What a colossal waste of money on stuff that will be obsolete before it’s even produced …

12,000 kamikaze drones is about 10 days worth of supplies in combat in The Ukraine between the 2 warring parties.

    4. That’s what Ukraine needs, not some ancient and almost useless Gripens or Rafales.

That is a low number. And with how fast developments goes it may be smarter to invest in ready-to-produce-immediately factories?

    6. Here’s my question – why modern army that is going to wage war within a proper coalition (nato) need weapon of poor man’s army? Drones are just that, great way to compensate for lack of real arms or manpower shortages. Presumably nato would be able to comfortably field at least 500k, and there are logistical limits on how many troops you can deploy anyway. And nato isn’t lacking for long range precision missiles to destroy anitair and radar installations, after which comes bombing of airfields and manufacturing plants with much cheaper aircraft-launched munitions.

And if we are talking about Germany waging war on their own – 12k drones won’t be able to do much without truly mass mobilization that neither Germany nor any other European country right now is capable of

This purchase doesnt make sense at this moment. At the current development in the Ukraine/Russia war, these drones will either be completely or almost obsolete. They develope so fast right now. Better would be building drones for Ukraine and gaining expierence, that would be win/win for both.
