Waste of money. Use it to help the victims of all the priests who molested children instead of this.

It’s pretty awesome, I wonder if they will ever finish it?

I am sure god is happy with the engineers who built this and they will get a free pass to heaven.

It’s only taken this long because there’s three guys building it.

I’ve been there a couple times. I think it’s kind of gaudy and tacky. Sure some of it is impressive. But overall, it didn’t leave me with the same sense of grandeur as some older cathedrals. Also you can barely move for all the other tourists. Not an enjoyable experience.

I remember reading about this as a kid in the 90s and thinking „It can’t be that bloody hard“.
Then I saw it in person and was like „OK yeah, just one of those windows would take me a lifetime if I entirely dedicated it to learning how to craft stone windows“.
I didn’t go inside. I did try and argue that as a Catholic (I’m not) it is against God to charge entry to his house but my Spanish wasn’t up to a religious argument. Though I do strictly believe that – it is a disgrace that if you really truly believe in god and are a Catholic, that you need to pay to enter your local cathedral because of tourism.
