It sounds grand. Is it near the village of Garni?
I’ve been working here for 2 years as a tour guide 😃
It’s important to note that this was not the original structure. People tend to forget that Garni was rebuilt in the 70s since it was heavily damaged in an earthquake in the 17th century. Most of the stones used are still the originals, but it is a reconstruction, not the original 🙂
So close, OP! Garni was rebuilt though, so the great state it is in is less remarkable because it is less than 100 years old.
