I mean, Tom Cruises’s perfectionism aside, I think that would annoy all actors.
Im glad Colin cleaned himself up. Hes a great actor and I enjoy his work.
8 god damn whiskey sours! Couldn’t stop at 3 or 4, had to have 8!?
„46 takes? You need to pump those rookie numbers up!“ – Stanley Kubrick.
Crazy a name talent can be gifted 46 takes when a co star or supporting role would get fired after 2/3.

There’s an old saying where you „Don’t shit where you eat“
Drink after the day is over. Show up to work on time, and sober.
Farrell was actually pretty good in it too.
Maybe he had an issue with Scientologists like Kubrick did during Eyes Wide Shut…lol…again…again…
He was so good in that role but I have to agree with Tom here. 46 takes would make me walk off set.
I’m really glad he got his life together too.
Oh so that’s what it was, I always thought their interactions in the movie looked a little standoffish from the moment they met, it looked like it went beyond what the movie was telling us.
We all need to unite here and hold a l o t of beers for Mr Kubrick
„I was just getting into character!“
Spielberg was coming off Kubrick mode for A.I. so he probably loved it
Pretty privilege.
Farrell such a likable actor like James McAvoy which I met in Santa Clara a few years ago..I was visiting my cousin and we stopped at small mexican/asian restaurant and he was next to us. He ask if I was Canadian and I said yes and he could tell by my demeanor and „accent“. We talked for a few minutes he even ordered a beer for us.Cool guy..
This kind of explains why Spielberg has never worked with Farrell ever since, despite him becoming a huge star after Minority Report.
46 takes would drive anyone nuts. Especially when your co-worker is inebriated. It’s unprofessional.
It’s VERY interesting, Colin Farrell’s character carried that air of being a closeted drunk. That was a part of the story I felt, it set the two against each other more than the other angles of morality and duty.
‚Tom‘ was so upset he jumped up and down on the couch repeatedly. Oh wait, that’s when he’s happy?
Maybe don’t drink before work?
i wish we could see all 46 takes on youtube
I can’t believe Tom would be upset over Colin’s complete lack of professionalism.
My opinion is Farrell is one of the best actors of all time.
I’ll be honest. I had a real come to Jesus moment when I couldn’t remember the last time I hadn’t irished my first coffee up. Doubly so, because I was driving home at like 11 at night and still trying to figure out which liquor store would be open for me to pick up a quick shooter to sleep and a new bottle of rum for coffee. Never been that scared of myself.
“I don’t have a drinking problem! I just like drinking.”
Tom Cruise was just the one upset person he cared about. The entire crew hated him, probably.
