It’s not a joke and it’s almost guaranteed he’s going to try. The people claiming it’s not real are the same ones who tried to convince us Project 2025 was no big deal because Trump didn’t know anything about it.

    2. I like Trump but i think this is dangerous. Democrats love to cheat and easily cheated in 2020. Inagine if they can cheat and get 3 or 4 consecutive terms. 1 4 year of Biden was enough to completely collpases this country. Inflation, food, gas, war it was insane. Imagine 12 years of Kamala? We would be done.

Jesus fuck. Everything about this thing is bonkers.

      >arguing that extended leadership can be crucial during times of **national crisis** and economic development

They are so desperate for us to be in a national crisis that they are creating it themselves.

      >drawing on […] international cases such as Viktor Orban in Hungary

Of all the examples they could give, they go with the authoritarian strongman. They are not subtle, they are describing exactly what they want.

      >proposes a constitutional amendment allowing for a president to serve up to three terms, *provided they did not serve two consecutive terms prior to running for the third.*

HAH! They are so deeply afraid that Obama is going to ruin their third term idea. What a wild way to make sure Trump can run for a third term but Obama can’t.

      >Unfinished Business: The need for more time to complete President Trump’s agenda

We are less that 1 year into his term, why the fuck should we already be talking about needing more time for his agenda? How about he accomplishes what he can in his constitutional limited term, and then fucks off.

      >The Will of the People: Supporting the demand for extended leaderhsip

Has there been anyone clamoring for a third term? Again, we are less than a year into this term, there is zero reason to be thinking about the next presidential term.

They aren’t hiding their intentions. They want Trump to be executive for a lifelong term. That’s a fucking king, and we don’t do that shit here.

    4. This looks grassroots. Anyone can set up such a group. I’m sure there were fringe groups who tried this with Obama (doubtful for Joe). I could be wrong.

It takes too much to amend the constitution, it’ll never happen, they just keep dreaming.

„To amend the U.S. Constitution, a proposal for an amendment must be approved by a two-thirds vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate

. The amendment then becomes part of the Constitution after it is ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the states (38 out of 50). An alternative, though never-used method, involves a national convention for proposing amendments, which would also need ratification by three-fourths of the states. „
