    1. I like how the article refers to the wholesale destruction of the East Wing without a real plan in place a „massive overhaul.“ More like a massive fuckup.

      > The firings came via email from an adviser in the Presidential Personnel Office.

      >“On behalf of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as a member of the Commission on Fine Arts is terminated, effective immediately,” reads the email, which was reviewed by CNN.

      lemme guess…. it was Miller.

Just like everything else TheRump touches, tear something down with only some vague notion of what to put it in its place.

Kinda like elimination of enhanced ACA funding.

    4. The East Wing was likely chock full of asbestos. They did absolutely no mitigation .

They probably tod him to hold off on kncking evengthing down until there were plans approoved and in place. So they got his answer: You’re fired

They are probably rebuilding the bunker to fit in all the people that want to control the government after trump “leaves” office. This is all about that bunker.

    7. CNN doesn’t even bother with reporting at this point.

No insights here. No critical voices. No acknowledgment of yet another guardrail being trampled. Just barfed out the official talking points.

      Boo.

    8. lol that’s hilarious they didn’t even have architectural plans before demolishing part of the most famous building in the country?

    9. He ~~hires~~ fires only the best people.

„h“ and „f“ only a few letters away from each other; but what a difference it makes

    10. What’s the point of the agency of an independent oversight agency if the person they are overseeing can just fire them?

    11. Firing the members will cause problems in DC because the Commission of Fine Arts is required to review and approve design projects in some historic districts like Georgetown and for some federal buildings (except the White House, apparently). Trump is probably gonna install some sycophants like the architect of the ballroom, who he nominated to CFA during his first term. Or Trump fired the members because he wants no pushback from them regarding his demolition of 1/3 of the White House.

There is a chance the WH will be in shambles by the time another admin inherits it

      >The six members were appointed by former President Joe Biden

Ah, there it is. I bet they only just found this out.

The day I no longer have to read the fucking general assholeness that is central to his entire being is approaching. I don’t know when, but I know it’s one day closer today than it was yesterday.

Another karoline leavitt lie that they were following the process and submitting all the plans

She’s such a clown. Has to hate her job by now

He’s slowly going to tear down the entire White House and replace it. This doesn’t end with just a new wing. He’s going to make a palace while the country dives into poverty.

    17. In fairness, they did not receive the presentation at all well.

„And here is the platform where the president will rise through the floor with a smoke machine and light show . . . „

It’s like letting a toddler destroy a sandbox. Except the sandbox is our fucking capitol and the toddler is a rapist. I hate this. Fuck.

I wonder how fleeced we’re getting while Trump is distracted with his Tonka trucks and Lincoln Logs, and which ones are really getting the lion’s share?
