> “It’s interesting, though, how movies are received at opening weekend,” Bridges said. “I remember ‘Heaven’s Gate’ was considered, you know, very disappointing or a flop, but nowadays it’s considered kind of a masterpiece.”
> Speaking from personal experience, Bridges explained that films often “grow on you,” and that his initial reactions can flip in a matter of weeks or months.
> “Even as an individual, often, I have not liked a movie,” he added. “And then a couple weeks or months later, I’ll see it again. I’ll say, ‘What was I thinking?’ As the Dude would say, ‘That’s just like your opinion, man.’”
It should have been a sequel to Tron: Legacy.
It’s fucking interesting, man. a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous.
Yeah man you can’t be worried about that shit. life goes on man.
The dude would know about movies growing on you man.
I don’t disagree with the sentiment itself, just for this specific movie lol.
He’s right, just not in this case. We wanted a Tron Legacy sequel. Not this and not with Bridges shoehorned in.
Tron Aries isnt going to be a shawshank redemption or big lebowski. Those „flops“ that grow on you are usually just not marketed well or at all. Tron Aries is shit, least it has a great sound track.
Sue me, but I actually thought Tron Ares was pretty good.
Sorry Dude…but Jared Leto hasn’t been good since Dallas Buyers Club.
We all know the reason why the last one was good was almost entirely because of daft punk
Someone do a faceswap with leto – the true miracle of ai – who to though?
I mean, he knows that’s not how it works, very few movies have a good run after a bad opening, especially known ip like this
I heard he was actually pretty good. I kown I gotta be mad at Leto but I like tron..
I didn’t like Tron:Ares and I heard the script had been changed by Leto from its original outline.
Used to be a movie like ‘Shawshank Redemption” (1994) or ‘Heat‘ (1995) wouldnt be very successful at the box office. But over time their popularity grew, and with it home video rental/sales and tv syndication contracts meant they made a ton of money.
That after-the-fact revenue stream is nearly non-existent in modern times.
That’s just, like, your opinion, man.
Things that grow on you become cult classics, but many started out as box office disappointments. This film will likely only be the latter.
The dude abides
