Trump and his family have already made billions by manipulating markets. It was time someone to actually step-up and stop this!!

    2. If a bill were to pass, would it be able to affect individuals who already have the job or would they be grandfathered in?

Ro Khanna’s political instincts are baffling. 95% of the things he does in politics are (or at least seem to be) out of left field. He does some good stuff, too, like this legislation.

It’s nice and all but it won’t go anywhere with the current trifecta.

    5. Will Massie or Greene co-sign? This might be a bit of a reach for them, though.

At a minimum, politicians should be held to the same level of accountability that investment bankers are. It’s really messed up that they’re not.

Another law they can break with no consequences. Just kidding, republicans in congress won’t even support this

Imagine being able to print money for yourself ad libitum and somebody proposes you support a petition to make it so you have to stop.

This is what Ro Khanna is proposing. It serves only to remind us of the daily corruption on both sides.

    9. Should also ban all betting, also anyone paid to speak on behalf of a cause or with conflicts of interest such as policy bets should have to disclose that even on social media.

    10. If I had a nickel for every “X congressman is introducing a bill to ban trading” post I’ve seen, I would be richer than the insider traders currently running our government. These bills go nowhere and never will. Wake up

This is an important good start. No one in the elected federal government, their staffs, or families should be trading anything. My bet is most of them are beholden to oligarchs and others from the K Street Mob, and guys like Thiel who threw his money at Vance.

For Trump (and probably congress) this will do no good because their family members can still do it.
