„Reports of ethnically motivated mass killings and other atrocities are emerging from El Fasher after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces took control of the city in Sudan’s western Darfur region over the weekend.

Video released by local activists showed a fighter known for executing civilians in RSF-controlled areas shooting a group of unarmed civilians sitting on the ground at point-blank range“
      From article.
      This need WAY more eyes.

    2. This is round 2 of the Darfur genocide. But nobody’s paying attention, we’re all distracted by other things, and especially by Trump.

    3. The world ignores Sudan because its suffering doesn’t fit their political agenda. I feel like this was has been going on for years and still not mainstream

Funded by the UAE btw. The tourist dollars of people going on vacation to Dubai are getting put to use

Can anyone elaborate more on the conflict, seems like its hardly discussed

    6. Serious question: what sort of global response would be needed to stop this conflict? Lots of boots on the ground? Bombing a few places? Just get the sponsors to stop sponsoring the factions? This is a damn big crisis but I have no clue how it can be solved.

If nobody cares to report it, then the victims must be Christians.

    8. as long as its not Gazans being killed, no one in the USA will care, or on reddit. This is yesterdays news.

I need progressives to tell me which side I’m supposed to care about and support.

It’s really sad how we don’t hear much about what’s going on in sudan

    11. Death by starvation and male violence been happening for years and years in this god forsaken place but rarely on the news. Heartbreaking.

Soon the U.N. will send a stern letter to the leaders of both groups asking them to please try to stop their armies from doing bad things.

I can’t wait to see the marches and protests like we did with Palestine

Sudan/South Sudan never really get a break. It’s so sad, so many have died over oil or poverty. If the world was a better place we would be able to help them but it seems not

      Genocide.

Call it for what it is.

Don’t bullshit on the name and the seriousness of what’s going on.
