      It’s strange, the article doesn’t actually mention that his passing away is related to the injuries from the attack.

      I presume that it by the fact it’s being reported at all but there’s no mention of it at all.

      Would there not normally be a „from complications/injuries sustained“ blabla?

      Pearse street Garda station is around the corner from Templebar. It’s a known problem spot and I think it would take minimal effort to have some patrols walk through on a regular basis.

      Before anyone harks in with „crime rates are down“ „murders are a rarity“ etc etc etc…. This is absolutely horrific and the government needs to do something about tackling anti social behavior in the capital. It just needs to happen, this shit is happening way too often and the scangers get away with a slap on the wrist.

      There was nothing alleged about the attack, surely, only about who the assailant was.
