Limiting debate is the coward’s way out when you know you have no good argument for the stupid shit you’re pushing.

The government knows this will lead to more injuries and deaths, but doesn’t care, because some whiny drivers don’t want to slow down.
Great priorities.
It seems like both Danielle Smith and Doug Ford have been limiting debate and public hearings on legislation recently. The look is not good when you do that. This particular issues baffles me. I don’t understand by Ford is so focused on issues like speed cameras and bike lanes which actually make people safer. There are many more important issues out there, some of which to be fair he is also working on that this seems like a colossal waste of time. If the public doesn’t agree, you only have 3 years until they let you know at a ballot box after all.
Of course he’s going to avoid the public. It’s been shown that the public isn’t on his side on this. Such a cowardly move.
Of course, while the headline focuses on the speed cameras, the bill has far more in it, far more dangerous stuff:
