      The first two questions do much to explain the dynamics of the parties in Parliament. In particular the second. A strong majority of Conservatives would not hold triggering an election against them, it’s about even for the Bloc, but the NDP and Greens would in fact hold triggering an election against the party.

    2. And it’s stats like these that show how disingenuous anyone who claims the NDP should vote against the budget to get more seats really is.

      Their own supporters would clearly nail the party to the wall if they did that.

      Canadians don’t want a fall election. The Liberals should really start acting like the minority government they are and negotiate with the opposition.

      The NDP could always abstain. The budget would still squeak by. Their “honour” would remain more or less intact. Otherwise, what are they going to do if an election is called? Campaign in a school bus and a Cessna 150? They don’t have two nickels to rub together.
