Das ist diesen Monat zum zweiten Mal passiert, wenn auch mit anderen Autos. Er wird in alle Häuser gerufen und der junge Bursche, dem der Clio gehört, wird von seinem Vater hinausgeschickt.
Ich fragte ihn, ob der Lexus schon da war, als er parkte, und er sagte „Ja“, also ist er derjenige, der dort geparkt hat wie ein ignoranter kleiner Blödmann. Es handelt sich um eine Ordnungswidrigkeit im Sinne der Straßenverkehrsordnung. Bedeutet auch, dass Feuer oder Krankenwagen nicht vorbeikommen.
Ich habe seinem Vater gesagt, dass man ihm sagen muss, er solle nicht so parken, es gibt Probleme mit dem Krankenwagen/der Feuerwehr, und dass er dafür eine feste Strafe bekommen kann. Der Vater sagte nur: „Ja, ich werde es ihm sagen, ihr verdammten Lerner“, was auch die Frage aufwirft, dass er allein ohne Führerschein oder L-Kennzeichen fährt. Auch seine Steuer fällt monatlich aus.
Ohnehin. Ich habe es satt. Deshalb habe ich einen Bericht auf der Garda-Verkehrsseite eingestellt (aber erfahrungsgemäß dauert das etwa 8 Monate).
Hat noch jemand solche Probleme und was haben Sie gemacht?

None of those are estates
What’s worse is most estates being built now has zero parking space outside the driveways. Now I don’t want the estate absolutely full of parking either if near the city but a few additional spaces wouldn’t kill anyone.
But yeah this is a bit idiotic from both cars imo the Lexus shouldn’t park know other cars would be parking ont he other side and the clip is the worst since he saw and would know nobody could fit past
I think you’ve done what you can there. Give them a chance to fix it but ultimately if they won’t you have to see if you can get it enforced.
Same issue in our estate, oblivious young wan we call „legally blonde“. Have said it to her a million times but she doesn’t get it / care because „Im parking outside my own house!“ …Mind the road is fucking empty for the most part! She caused the bins not to be collected one week in the summer because of it.
Typical, and ironically while it’s not the case in your example, this is compounded by the ever growing scale of cars owned these days. The day of the super mini is gone, everyone has some sort of SUV be it truly an SUV or one that is pretending to be, they’re both pretty large
If it’s run by the council can they not just put a double yellow on one side of the road? Might resolve it.
It’s a nightmare as a learner driver. Super tight, have to be careful because the last thing you want is to dent your neighbour’s car, and worst of all people get veeeery comfortable driving close to home and will divebomb the gap like they’re Danii Kvyat and force you stop when you have right of way. Estates built in the 90’s weren’t designed for 2/3 cars per household, let alone everyone buing oversized SUVs.

We have people blocking part of our driveway. So car can’t get out or its very tight. We got a cone.
Called the garda who told us to call the council. Council showed up hours after we called to tow the car but it was gone.
It’s the delivery and bin lorries I feel sorry for. Our estates were built on the assumption of one car per house and that the drive would be used. Between adults at home and shared accommodation it’s common to see three/four vehicles.
In my experience if you call DCC saying a car is causing a blockage on the road they be out pretty fast to lift it.

I think this is pretty much the same across most housing estates, it’s even worse in the new build estates where driveways are big enough to hold 1.5 cars, and when every other house seems to have about 3 car, they just throw them everywhere.
But yeah, the awareness of some people never ceases to amaze me. I’m not sure what can be done. The residents will argue there’s nowhere for them to park, so what are they supposed to do. Should be double yellow lines along where that Lexus is anyway.
The problem with these estates is that they were built at a time when a house had one car per family.
Now houses have smaller families and/or grups of adults sharing.
So you could have a 4 bedroom with a couple in the master and 3 other people in the other rooms all with cars.
If you are living close to town it’s much worse.
For the people saying report to guards my question is why?
Those lazy bastards will do fuck all or tell you it’s a civil matter.
They are very good at finding reasons not to get involved.
I am reminded of Father Jack Hackett, „That would be an ecumenical matter“ ever time I hear a cop say call the council or „It’s a civil matter“.
Jees you need to be something special to park like that without noticing the lack of space for other cars to pass through..😄
IMO the Lexus is parked like a knob. The gaps between spaces are usually fair game. There really should be a single or double yellow on the Lexus side.
Contact the Council, Fire Brigade and Ambulance service.
We had problems with commuter parking making the estate very hard to get in and out of. One email to the the three above mentioning that a Fire Appliance or Ambulance would not be able to get into the place in an emergency and we had double yellows on one side in three days.
Of course that’s if you want to go down that route.
I think the lexus is also technically in the wrong as it’s blocking the entrance across the road but honestly not sure. Either way stupid
This and pavement parking are all becoming huge issues.
If you’ve nowhere to keep your car, don’t buy a car. You don’t get to use the public estate as your own storage facility. You don’t have the right to block wheelchairs and pedestrians.
You’re right to be annoyed. But you also sound like a Karen examining his car and running to the guards when it sounds like it’s sorted. Did you also check the thread depth on his tyres?

We had a funeral a few months back. Neighbours funeral.
Anyway, The removal was fine only for this „ignorant gowl“ who parked across our gate.
She must have been family of the deceased…..
She saw our car. There. In driveway.

Now, we didn’t need to go anywhere. So gave a bit of grace as it was a funeral after all so I let it slide…..
She arrived back to her car 5 hours later to find me staring out my window at her.
She couldn’t have given less of a bollox.
I could not get over the „I’ll park where I want“ kind of thing.

Same in our estate and probably most others nowadays. Not as bad as the picture here but it’s basically one lane driving. Some of the residents here are terrible at parking which doesn’t help.
They’ll park over a foot away from the kerb and this will in the corner of a bend so you are blind to what’s coming around it.
I always find that so stupid when people park on both sides when there is clearly not enough room.
The Lexus is the root of that problem. People are going to park on the kerbside outside their own houses, just like the Megane behind which causes no problem as long as some jackass doesn’t do what Lexus guy has done.
You’ve gone in two studs up on the young lad here when he had no obligation to even answer the door to you.
Nothing will become of reporting the parking to the guards. Both cars can claim the other wasn’t there when they parked so they weren’t the one obstructing.
I also wouldn’t rat someone out for having out dated tax because I was thick with them. But I suppose the law is the law so fair enough.
