seeing how things are in Italy rn, can’t really blame folks wanting to bounce
Afaik switzerland has one of the highest diasporas of italian immigrants compared to its population. 15k with a population of 9mil compared to 20k with 83mil like germany and there have been italian immigrants comming to switzerland since the 60s.
I’m surprised they didn’t move to Austria or Portugal.
Are south americans with Italian passports counted as Italians here?

All the 19k are in Barcelona.
I was recently in Bologna, one of the wealthier cities in Italy, and I met a couple of young people who asked how they could move to the UK and Italy is not a great place for opportunities. They asked how our life is in Manchester, I was in a group of 8, and honestly it sounds like there’s a lot more opportunities than over in Italy.
For a second I thought 156,000 Italians had moved to Russia in 2024.
