      They need to be dissolved and a new thing be made up instead and do away with the tv lisence

      RTE is really the Department of Information, brought to you by the government of the day. If there is financial waste in other government departments why not this one too.

      Probably why the had a bit of a clear out of their „celebrities“ over the past few months.

      At this stage, few are likely surprised. After the 2023 revelations about hidden payments and extravagant spending, further discoveries of financial irregularities however small by comparison were widely expected.

      For many observers, the new report reinforces the perception that RTÉ’s internal governance and oversight were weak for years, and that the broadcaster is still untangling the legacy of a poorly monitored financial culture.
