Is it just me or is it weird to use green, blue, and yellow and not have green fall between blue and yellow (and having those two next to each other instead) for the scale?

Dumb question: For State Employees only, right?

I’d say Alabama is higher than this. The RSA has done a great job with the pension system and the assets through it. From a chain of golf courses, to the almost entirely of downtown Montgomery, to even Manhattan. The state of Alabama has a really good pension fund

It’s worth noting that the assets-to-liabilities ratio is kind of a shit metric if things are changing rapidly. That could be a policy change or demographic change.

Pension? What’s a pension? /s

In California the pension costs for many cities is greater than current payroll. The largesse of the legislature and Gray Davis based on the dot com temporary gains is something that has put Calpers into a permanent state of needing unrealistic gains. He got recalled over electric bills but deserved it for this.
