      My partner and I visited Toronto a few weeks ago. I cannot stress just how much it was like slipping out of the dark timeline. There’s a place in this world that is nearly identical to your home in America *where none of this shit ever happened* and you can see it in the faces of nearly every single person you meet the minute you step off the plane. It’s a place full of people who haven’t had the dreams beat out of them by 24/7 fear.

      We could have had that. For ourselves. It blows my fucking mind.

      I wish more Americans would take a vacation like that. People need to know. I’d move there in a heartbeat but the immigration door is rightfully closed to us. The answer is to fix our shit though I have no idea how. At this point I fear it’s a generations long struggle that we may never win

      It is insane to me that someone like Trump was allowed to get anywhere near the white house let alone do it again but I have tons of American friends and you have a lot of amazing people.

      I hope one day we get past this insanity because this is the last thing we needed post covid

      I was watching the news and they kept saying Canada was a threat to us and horrible to negotiate with. Idk who is buying this propaganda. Like no shit people are hostile when you threaten their sovereignty… what did they expect?

      They want a crisis like a depression or a war so they can seize even more power. We are not going to have midterm elections.
