Putins pawn expect putins pawn to not being putins pawn anymore.

You guys are being way too optimistic. :/ Orbán will go to Trump, kiss his ass for a bit, maybe sign some agreement about eventually buying more US gas/oil or weapons or peanut butter or whatever, and he’ll gain a few more months. Trump doesn’t care about Hungary enough to want to spend more time on this issue, and honestly we’re not the ones buying the most gas/oil from Russia so even on that front we’re small fish, not something the US needs to deal with immediately. Plus Trump has already given his blessing on Hungary (& Slovakia) buying Russian oil/gas previously because he let himself be convinced that There’s Just No Other Way For Us Landlocked Countries :((((( (never mind all those other landlocked countries that have managed *somehow*…).
Since the start of the war or rather, since the EU started cracking down on Russia, Orbán’s primary goal has been basically to get the war to end asap so things can get back to business as usual. (Of course that wouldn’t happen even if the war ended, but he’s always had a „we’ll cross that bridge when we get there“ approach to these things.) That’s because he and his circles are way too deeply tied to Russia in various ways (re: corruption of course) to be able to afford breaking off. Hell, the entire reason the regime is so hell bent on Russian gas/oil is that they’re making huge money skimming that trade. He’ll never give it up because it’s the sort of deeply shady fuckery that he can never do with anyone but Russia.

Actually cant wait for the US hammer to come down o Hungary, seeing as the Euro hammer is made of glass.
Who’s gonna provide energy for Serbia then, if Orban won’t be Putin’s delivery boy any more?
Give them a little glimpse of the stick. That’s all that is needed.
Orbán is gonna go to Washington soon, to [talk to Trump about this](https://telex.hu/english/2025/10/27/orban-from-a-hungarian-perspective-trump-made-a-mistake-with-the-sanctions-imposed-on-moscow) personally. That should be a hoot and a half.
Lol, good luck with that.
