    Braut bringt sich um, nachdem die Familie des Bräutigams ihr „freizügiges“ und „provokatives“ Hochzeitskleid kritisiert hat


    Lyaman Mammadli, 19, wurde vorgeworfen, an ihrem großen Tag „nackt“ ausgesehen zu haben, weil ihre Schultern unbedeckt waren.

    Ihr Vater Murad Bayramov sagte, sie sei über die Kritik verstört gewesen und habe sich kurz darauf im Garten des Hauses ihrer Eltern in Mingachevir, Aserbaidschan, das Leben genommen.

    „Der Bräutigam meiner Tochter und seine Eltern haben bei mir zu Hause Streit wegen ihres Hochzeitskleides ausgelöst“, sagte er. „Meine Tochter konnte es nicht ertragen und nahm sich das Leben.“

    Obwohl über Mammadlis Religion nicht berichtet wurde, ist Aserbaidschan ein mehrheitlich muslimisches Land.

    Ihr Vater wies Medienberichte energisch zurück, dass seine Tochter sich möglicherweise zu einer Hochzeit mit einem älteren Mann, Elnur Mamedli, 33, gedrängt gefühlt habe.

    „Nach der Feier kam Elnur mit seinen Eltern zu uns nach Hause und sorgte für einen großen Streit“, sagte der Vater.

    „Sie sagten: "Was für eine Schande. Wie konnten Sie zulassen, dass Ihre Tochter ein so beschämendes, freizügiges Hochzeitskleid trägt?"‘

      From what I understood, the real reason wasn’t the wedding dress not being modest enough (bc ofc it is). They were forcing her to marry that 33yo man. The wedding dress story was just a coverup her dad made up look innocent. Despite the dad claiming she wanted to marry him herself, there was messages leaked between her and her friends saying “they wouldn’t even let me marry someone if it was someone I loved” and “I am just waiting to see what happens” and there is a video of her from the said wedding looking pretty sad not even eating the cake she cuts.
