      That Welsh border is atrocious and it doesn’t even need to be there, Wales and Scotland both have subsets of the church of england

      As of the most recent census, the UK is no longer a majority Christian country, so I wonder if there will be any desire to move on from it in the coming years. The only part of the UK that remains with a Christian majority is Northern Ireland.

      At least for England and Denmark, it’s a state church, not a state religion.

      Some of the richest countries have state religions, this must mean that religion is the reason of prosperity /s

      The irony being that the UK is now majority non-religious.

      Very few people care about disestablishing the Church of England though, even though it only represents a minority of the people.

      Germany might not *officially* have a state religion, but the German state collects taxes for the Protestant and Catholic Church(es), so make of that what you will.
