What he means is that he holds a considerable stake in a private equity fund that’ll buy their farms for pennies when they go bankrupt. He’s a farmer of farms.

Someone ask him to define „farmer“. This is the Charleston house he sold to move to Washington:
Note his landscape designer also did the White House rose garden…now parking lot.
He’s so good at treasure handling the deal also included a separate sale of fixtures and selected furnishings for $3 million. Total sale price $21.25 million:
Somebody needs to tell him that just because he bought up a ton of bankrupt farmland on the cheap does not make him a farmer.

Many think Trump is being misled by the people around him. When Trump dies there will be no one to protect his inner circle.

Scott Bessent is a very confusing person. Gets in fist fights with other cabinet members, claims to be a farmer worth 600 million, MAGA stooge/ Treasury Secretary and gay dad. Is he just an empty psychopath that puts on whatever face he needs to wear that day?

Remember that „farmers“ are in fact rich business owners.
They love to market themselves as working class but they aren’t. Their employees are.
Thise big farm equipments cost hundreds of k or millions. Their land is worth millions etc. They have owned valuable land for generations and privately they’re rich.
They voted for trump knowing he would do tarrifs. They expect a bail out.
They voted for the tax cuts in for the rich such as themselves.
