Hallo zusammen,

The value with M is for the previous year
The other one is for this year

For the actual cost, you need to check your Nebenkostenabrechnung

Those things make no sense for normal people, they are just measurement things for the provider.

You can not determine from that figures what your actual heating volume is. These are just indices, which needs to be put in correlation with all other heaters AND the consumption of heating medium (gas, oil, steam, electricity).

Only the metering company can do the math. You‘ll get a printout of all the readings and the final calculation with your „Nebenkostenabrechnung“

One number is an ID for every heater you have. Then you have some total number of heating units this heater used, and then usually one for the current year.

But this doesnt say anything about the costs. You need to check the Nebenkostenabrechnung for that. It should have the ID and heating units per heater and then the cost per heating unit.

But it’s absolutely worth to note down every number at the beginning of every heating period (so right now). When the Nebenkostenabrechnung comes next year you can check for errors.
